Area Volleyball Teams Suffer Losses

WOODLAWN -- South Central High School traveled to Woodlawn and went three sets before suffering a volleyball loss Monday evening.
Woodlawn won the opener 25-11 before South Central came back with a 25-22 victory. Woodlawn then claimed the win 25-19.
The Cougars were led by Lauren Lutz with nine points and 10 assists, Kelsey Landreth with four kills, Deidre Hall with 11 digs and MacKenzie Potter with four kills.
Woodlawn also nabbed the junior varsity match, 27-25, 25-17. The Cougars drop to 0-2.
Woodlawn won the freshman/sophomore match, 25-15, 25-22. South Central is 0-2.

At Oblong
Oblong picked up a varsity victory over Dieterich in Monday action. Oblong was a winner 25-8, 25-17. Dieterich dropped to 0-2 on the season.
Dieterich was led by Emily Bloemer with three assists and four drigs, Allie Poe with two kills and four digs and Gabi Hardiek and Jenny Robards with two kills each.
In junior varsity play, Oblong won 25-18, 25-20. Dieterich drops to 0-2.

Okaw Valley came calling and tallied a 25-15, 25-10 varsity win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Monday.
The homestanders were led by Allie Stell with four kills and an ace, Katlyn Johnson with one ace and Zaryah Smith and Jacque Witteborg with four digs each. CHBC dropped to 2-1 on the season.
In the junior varsity match, Okaw Valley won 25-14, 16-25, 25-20.
