Effingham claimed both seventh and eighth grade victories in volleyball action over Jasper County Monday evening.

The Mustangs won the seventh-grade match, 25-17, 25-18 to improve to 11-0 on the season. Jasper County dropped to 3-7.

In eighth-grade action, Effingham was a winner, 25-18, 25-22 and is now 8-0. Jasper County fell to 8-2.

At Sacred Heart

Altamont and Effingham Sacred Heart picked up a victory each during action Monday evening.

Altamont claimed the win in seventh-grade play, 25-11, 25-18.

Sacred Heart then nabbed the eighth-grade contest, 25-14, 25-11.

In an exhibition match, the Shamrocks won, 25-17, 25-23.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis came through with victories over Neoga Monday evening.

T-town won the opening seventh-grade contest, 26-24 but  Neoga came back with a 25-15 count. The Wooden Shoes then had a 25-13 final to pull out the match victory and improve to 1-8.

In eighth-grade play, Neoga won the opener 25-20 but T-town rallied to win 25-17, 25-13 for the match. The Shoes are now 4-5 on the season.

Dieterich fell to Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City in both matches Monday evening.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City won in the seventh-grade contest, 25-12, 25-18. Dieterich drops to 1-10.

In eighth-grade action, CHBC was a winner, 25-15, 25-17.
