Junior High School Volleyball -- Jan. 16

Effingham Junior High School picked up two victories over Stewardson-Strasburg in volleyball action Tuesday.

The Mustangs won the seventh-grade contest 25-16, 25-22 to improve to 4-0 on the season.

In the eighth-grade match, EJHS also improved to 4-0 with a 25-12, 25-16 win.

Effingham Sacred Heart and Sigel St. Michael split victories Tuesday.

In the seventh-grade match, the Sharpshooters picked up the win 25-12, 25-16.

Sacred Heart then won the eighth-grade match 25-21, 25-13.

An exhibition was split with St. Michael winning 29-22 and Sacred Heart winning 26-13.

The Bullpups won the seventh-grade encounter 25-8, 25-14.

In eighth-grade play, St. Anthony claimed wins 25-15, 25-10.

Dieterich drops to 0-1 in both seventh and eighth-grade play.
