Area teams saw their seasons come to a close in the Class 7-2A Effingham St. Anthony Volleyball Regional Monday.
North Clay (Louisville) fell to Ramsey in three sets. North Clay won the opener 26-24 but Ramsey came back with 27-25 and 25-16 scores for the match.
Edwards County (Albion) downed St. Elmo/Brownstown. Edwards County won the opener 25-19 but SEB came back to take the second set 26-24. Edwards County then won the match 25-23.
Ramsey and Edwards County advance to the championship match Thursday at 6 p.m.
Class 7-2A Findlay Okaw Valley Regional
Oakland Lake Crest and Paris Crestwood picked up victories in the Findlay Okaw Valley Regional Monday.
Oakland Lake Crest downed Findlay Okaw Valley 11-25, 25-17, 25-19.
In the second match, Paris Crestwood ended Neoga's season. Neoga won the opener 25-11 but Paris Crestwood came back with 25-17, 25-19 counts for the match.
Oakland Lake Crest advances to face Hutsonville tonight at 5:30 followed by Paris Crestwood against Oblong at 6:30.
Class 3A Shelbyville Moulton Regional
Teutopolis won its opener over Sullivan. Sullivan claimed the first set 25-22 but T-town came back strong with 25-19, 25-16 counts. The Wooden Shoes advance to face Tuscola East Prairie at 7 p.m. today.
In the first match Monday, Shelbyville Moulton beat Arcola 25-19, 25-19. The final match went to Tuscola East Prairie over Arthur 25-12, 25-23.
Shelbyville Moulton takes on Cumberland at 6 p.m. today.
Class 7-3A Shelbyville Regional
Teutopolis -- Probst, 3 aces, 4 assists, 1 kill; Swingler, 7 aces, 1 kill; Deters, 1 ace, 4 kills, 2 blocks; Hardiek, 1 kill, 2 digs; Tensen, 1 ace
Class 7-4A Mattoon Regional
Danville North Ridge defeated Urbana in two sets, 25-22, 25-15.
Danville North Ridge now meets Charleston today at 4:30 p.m. The second match sees Effingham taking on Mattoon at 5:30.
Class 7-1A Sigel St. Michael Regional
Sigel St. Michael defeated Hume Shiloh in the opening match 25-13, 25-23.
In the second contest, Windsor lost the opener 25-19 but came back strong with 25-13, 26-24 wins over Chrisman Scottland.
St. Michael will meet Windsor tonight at 6 for the regional championship.
