Effingham Junior High School captured two victories over Newton St. Thomas in volleyball competition Tuesday.

In the seventh-grade match, the Mustangs won the opener 25-13 and the second contest, no score listed on scoresheet. The Mustangs improve to 14-3 on the season.

In the eighth-grade contest, Effingham was a winner 25-13, 25-10 to improve to 7-8.

Teutopolis beat Altamont in seventh-grade competition Tuesday, 25-11, 25-10. The Wooden Shoes improve to 12-5.

In the eighth-grade match, Altamont claimed the victory 25-19, 25-20. T-town falls to 8-6.

Dieterich picked up two wins over North Clay (Louisville) Tuesday.

Dieterich won the seventh-grade match 25-11, 25-20 and stands at 6-10 on the season.

In eighth-grade action, Dieterich was a winner. The squad lost the opener 25-23 but came back with 25-20, 26-24 counts for the win and improves to 4-10.

Shelbyville Moulton came calling and picked up two victories over Stewardson-Strasburg Tuesday.

Moulton was a 25-21, 25-20 winner in seventh-grade play.

In the eighth-grade contest, Stew-Stras won the opener 26-24 but Moulton came back with 25-9, 25-7 counts for the match.

Jasper County won the seventh-grade match 25-8, 23-25, 25-23 to improve to 6-10.

In eighth-grade play, Jasper County was a winner 25-14, 25-19 and is now 5-9.
