Effingham Sacred Heart played host to Effingham and fell in seventh and eighth grade volleyball competition Tuesday.

The Mustangs won the seventh-grade match 25-8, 25-20 to improve to 12-1 on the season.

In eighth-grade play, Effingham was a 25-22, 25-20 winner and is now 6-7.

The Mustangs picked up a fifth/sixth grade win 32-15.

At Dieterich

Dieterich and Stewardson-Strasburg split victories Tuesday.

Stew-Stras claimed the seventh-grade match. The Stars won the opener 25-20 before Dieterich came back with a 25-19 count. Stew-Stras then claimed the match 25-15. Dieterich drops to 5-7.

In eighth-grade action, Dieterich was the winner 25-22, 26-24 to improve to 3-9.

Altamont fell in the seventh-grade match to Windsor 25-19, 25-22 Tuesday evening. Altamont is now 1-6 in the National Trail Conference, 1-13 overall.

In eighth-grade play, Altamont was a winner 25-23, 25-18 and is unbeaten in the conference at 7-0 and stands at 10-3 overall.

Jasper County traveled to Martinsville and suffered two losses in volleyball action Tuesday.

Martinsville was a winner in seventh-grade play 25-10, 25-23.

In the eighth-grade contest, Martinsville won 25-19, 25-14.
