Neoga High School came calling and captured a National Trail Conference volleyball victory over Effingham St. Anthony Tuesday.
The Indians won 25-23, 23-25, 26-24. Mary Hill led the Indians in kills with 17 and had four blocks. Niki Miah had 25 digs.
At Louisville
Altamont handed North Clay (Louisville) a loss in two sets, 25-17, 25-11 to improve to 3-4.
Wharton and Stone led in kills with four each. Grindley had 17 digs. Fearday led in aces with three while H. Paquette led in assists with 10. Fearday had four blocks.
North Clay was led by Cally Holste with 19 passes. Audrey Fleener had 55 sets and two blocks. Taylor Jones and Darcy Fender had two kills each.
"The girls fought hard in the first game and really proved their potential," said North Clay Coach Kaylee McCollum. "We missed eight serves alone in the first game which really hurt us. Other than serving, the girls did very well during the first game and had some really great passes and hits."
Altamont also won the junior varsity match 25-13, 25-22 to improve to 2-1.

At Dieterich
South Central nabbed a National Trail Conference win over Dieterich, 25-11, 26-24.
The Cougars were led by Hannah Rubin with 13 points and four aces. Kendall Burleyson had six assists. Kacie Crain had 10 digs. South Central improves to 3-0 in the conference, 6-2 overall.
Dieterich was led by Madison Bannick with 13 digs, Lauren Garbe with two aces and five kills and Hannah Hunzinger with four assists. The Maroons drop to 1-4 overall.
South Central also nabbed the junior varsity contest 25-10, 25-13 to improve to 4-0. Dieterich drops to 0-5.

St. Elmo/Brownstown picked up a National Trail Conference win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City.
SEB won in two sets, 25-18, 25-22. Brandi Howard led in kills with seven and points with eight. Tessa Philpot had 12 digs.
CHBC was led by Skylar Morrison with 13 assists. Felicia Johnson had 11 digs and six kills. Emma Wehrle had three aces.

Teutopolis picked up both junior varsity and varsity victories over Sullivan Tuesday.
T-town won the varsity contest 25-11, 25-10. Savannah Grimes had 12 assists and finished with 11 points. Macy Michels had 12 points, six aces and eight kills.
"After a rough day at Casey-Westfield, it was nice to get back on track with a win tonight," said T-town Coach Tim Mills. "It was also nice having the Michels girls back. We've been touched by a bug of some kind and Erica and Macy were unable to play on Saturday. A few of the others are not quite back to normal yet."
T-town won the junior varsity match 25-14, 25-14.

Casey-Westfield handed Cumberland a loss in three sets. The Warriors beat Cumberland 25-19 but the Pirates came back with a 25-16 count. Casey-Westfield then went out at 27-25.
Cumberland was led by Lainey Jackson with 10 kills, 23 digs and 11 assists. The Pirates fall to 3-4 on the season.
