Crossroads Classic Volleyball Tourney Set For Friday, Saturday

The Nike Crossroads Classic Volleyball Tournament will be held this Friday and Saturday.

The event is broken into eight pools. In Pool A are Festus St. Pius X, Belleville Althoff and Mattoon. In Pool B are Wheaton St. Francis, Owensboro Catholic and Illiana Christian. Pool C members are St. Louis Ursuline, Naperville Central and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg. In Pool D are Lexington Henry Clay, Normal University and Hermann.

Pool E members are Glenbard West, Indianapolis Chatard and Champaign Centennial. Effingham heads up Pool F along with Libertyville and McCracken County. Pool G members are Greenwood Center Grove, Bloomington and Breese Central. And the final pool, H are Moline, Edwardsville and Daviess County.

Pool play will be held Friday, September 9 and the finals, in Gold, Silver and Bronze flights, are scheduled for Saturday, September 10.

Wheaton St. Francis took the top spot at last year's meet, finishing first in the Gold Flight with a win over St. Louis Ursuline.

Glenbard West won the Silver Flight over Edwardsville. The Bronze Flight went to Lansing Illiana Christian over Mattoon.
