Junior High Volleyball Sectional, Regular Season -- March 14

SIGEL -- Sigel St. Michael's junior high volleyball season came to a close in the championship match of its own Class 8-1A Sectional Monday evening.

Grayville claimed the victory over the Sharpshooters 25-7, 25-23. St. Michael ended the season with a 12-10 record.

Grayville advances to the Class 8-1A State Tournament with a 23-0 record. Grayville will face Royal Prairieview Ogden (25-1) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Class 8-2A St. Elmo Sectional

St. Elmo hosted a sectional and Paris Crestwood captured the title.

Paris Crestwood beat Edwards County (Albion) 25-23, 25-21 and improved to 20-1 on the season. Crestwood will now face St. Anne (15-8) at 2:15 p.m. Saturday at the Class 8-2A State Tournament.

Regular Season

North Clay (Louisville) split victories with Patoka Monday evening.

North Clay won the seventh-grade match 25-10, 25-11. In eighth-grade action, Patoka claimed the win 22-25, 25-10, 15-7.
