ALTAMONT -- Effingham and Altamont split junior high volleyball victories Thursday evening.
Altamont picked up the seventh-grade win 25-23, 25-14 and is now 10-7 on the season.
The Mustangs won the eighth-grade match 25-16, 25-18. Altamont fell to 3-11.
EJHS will play host to the Crossroads Sideout Shootout Saturday.

Shelbyville Moulton played host to Teutopolis and claimed two victories.
Moulton was a 25-15, 25-22 winner in seventh grade play. T-town drops to 7-10.
In eighth-grade action, Shelbyville Moulton won 25-16 before T-town came back with a 25-22 count. Moulton then went out 25-15. T-town drops to 6-9.

Charleston captured two victories over Jasper County.
In seventh-grade action, Charleston was a 25-7, 25-13 winner.
In eighth-grade action, Jasper County won the opener 25-22 but Charleston came back with 25-18, 25-16 scores.
