After a closed session meeting with one of the coaches, the Windsor School Board voted 4-3 Monday to approve Ronda Schlechte and Marsha Friedrich as volleyball coach and assistant volleyball coach of the Stew-Stras/Windsor volleyball team.
A dilemma arose after the Stew-Stras Board voted last month to rehire Schlechte and Friedrich, but the Windsor board voted 5-1 against rehiring them.
Windsor Superintendent Gavin Scronce said he suggested Schlechte meet with the Windsor board to discuss the decision. Following their meeting, the board re-voted on the issue and a majority favored rehiring both coaches.
It was still a close vote. Board President Matt Bennett voted in favor to break a 3-3 tie on the question. Also for the rehiring were Stacey Cole, who was the only person in favor of rehiring during the previous vote, along with Geo Glasscock and Karen Pfeiffer. Bennett had abstained from the earlier vote.
Also at the meeting, the Windsor board voted to accept a resignation from Marci Pauley as a bus aide.
