Nohren Headed to KC for Volleyball

A girl with local ties is headed to college to play volleyball.

Blake Nohren is the daughter of Ty Nohren, Effingham High School graduate and basketball star for the Hearts. Her grandfather is Monty Nohren, who played for Windsor in the 1950s and went on to great success as a high school basketball coach, particularly at Stewardson-Strasburg.

Blake's grandmother, Jolene, said she is going to play volleyball at Kaskaskia College. She is a senior at Olney Richland County High School.

Jolene said that Blake is planning to major in Physical Therapy.
