WINDSOR -- Effingham Sacred Heart handed Windsor two losses in junior high school volleyball competition Tuesday.
The Shamrocks won 25-23 in the seventh-grade match before Windsor came back with a 25-19 count. Sacred Heart then claimed the match 25-6.
In eighth-grade play, Sacred Heart picked up the win in two sets, 25-13, 25-18.

Stewardson Trinity defeated Newton St. Thomas in two matches.
Trinity won the seventh-grade contest 25-5, 25-10 to improve to 2-0.
In eighth-grade action, Trinity claimed the win. St. Thomas took the opener 25-23 but Trinity came back with 25-15, 25-8 wins for a 2-0 mark.
