Clay City saw its amazing high school volleyball season come to an end Saturday morning with a loss in the third place contest at the Class 1A State Tournament.

Kewanee Wethersfield defeated Clay City, 25-14, 25-18.

Clay City wraps up its season with a 30-4 record. Not bad for a school with an enrollment of just 52 students, and that didn't resurrect its volleyball program until 2013. Congratulations on a tremendous season!

Lanark Eastland won the 1A state championship, defeating Cissna Park, 25-16, 25-16.
