DIETERICH -- The Movin' Maroons played host to North Clay (Louisville) and sent the Cardinals home with a loss, 25-22, 16-25, 25-21. Dieterich improves its record to 5-7.
Madison Boerngen had nine points for the winners and an ace. Candace Niemerg led in digs with 16 and kills with 11. She also had three blocks. Shelby Wendling had 16 assists.
In the junior varsity contest, Dieterich also was the winner 25-16, 24-26, 25-18 to improve to 2-5.

At Farina
South Central came calling and picked up a varsity win over Stewardson-Strasburg 25-17, 23-25, 25-17. Stew-Stras drops to 4-1 in the National Trail Conference, 7-5 overall.
Leading Stew-Stras were Brittani Tabbert with three aces, 13 kills, one solo block; Kelsie Walden with 24 assists and Kendall Knop with 12 digs.
"Ballhandling was a big issue tonight," said Stew-Stras Coach Ronda Schlechte. "Passing was better in game two, therefore we were able to put down some kills to take the lead. The fight wasn't in us in game three and South Central took control of the game. I'm hoping we can bounce back for tomorrow's game against Neoga."
South Central won the junior varsity match 25-12, 25-15. Stew-Stras drops to 1-6. In a freshman/sophomore contest, South Central was a winner 25-11, 25-14. Stew-Stras drops to 1-1-1.

Teutopolis traveled to Greenville and took a loss in a varsity match, 25-18, 26-24.
Katelyln Ruholl had 14 assists for the Wooden Shoes, while Julie Wente had five kills. Morgan Breer and Natalie Summers had seven digs.
T-town claimed the junior varsity contest, 25-19, 26-24. In freshman/sophomore play, Greenville was a winner 25-13, 25-10.
T-town is back in action Monday at North Clay (Louisville).

Sullivan handed Beecher City a loss in varsity play, 25-15, 25-19. The loss drops the Eagles to 0-17 on the season.

Flora handed Altamont a loss in three games. Flora won 25-16 before Altamont came back with a 25-22 win. Flora then claimed the match 25-18.
Leading Altamont were White with 10 kills and three aces. Wendling had three aces and nine assists. Ledbetter led in digs with six. Altamont drops to 1-9.
Flora won the junior varsity match in two sets and the two squads split sets in freshman/sophomore play.
