Finals Set For NTC Eighth-Grade Volleyball Tournament

Effingham Sacred Heart and Altamont will square off for the championship of the National Trail Conference Eighth-Grade Volleyball Tournament after picking up victories Wednesday evening.
In the opening match, Windsor defeated Dieterich, no score reported. There was no score reported for the St. Elmo/Brownstown vs. Beecher City match. Altamont then downed Windsor 25-18, 25-16. Stewardson-Strasburg won over the winner of the St. Elmo/Brownstown vs. Beecher City match, no score reported.
Neoga defeated Sigel St. Michael, no score reported. Sacred Heart downed Cowden-Herrick 25-20, 25-8. Altamont won over Neoga 25-9, 18-25, 25-15. Sacred Heart finished out the evening beating Stew-Stras 25-20, 12-25, 25-22.
The finals are scheduled for Friday. Windsor will face Sigel St. Michael while Cowden-Herrick will meet either Beecher City or St. Elmo/Brownstown, both at 5 p.m. The winners of those two matches meet for the consolation championship at 6 p.m.
Neoga faces Stew-Stras at 6 p.m. for third place while Altamont takes on Sacred Heart at 7 p.m. for the championship.
