Effingham Sacred Heart and Sigel St. Michael split wins in junior high volleyball competition Tuesday evening.

St. Michael claimed the seventh-grade match 29-27 and 25-21. The Shamrocks drop to 2-3 on the season.

In eighth-grade action, Sacred Heart captured 25-10, 25-22 wins to improve to 4-1 on the season.

In fifth-grade play, the two teams split wins. St. Michael won 15-13 and Sacred Heart won 15-12 to improve to 2-0-2.

Effingham St. Anthony downed Dieterich in action Tuesday evening. The Bullpups won the seventh-grade contest 19-25, 25-21, 25-21.

In the eighth-grade match, St. Anthony claimed 25-15, 25-16 victories.
