Three EHS Players Named to All-Apollo Volleyball Teams

Three Effingham High School volleyball players were named to the All-Apollo Conference teams Monday.
Named to the First Team for the Hearts were senior Felicia Totten and junior Chandler Ramey. Named to the Second Team was junior Shelby Nunamaker.
Mattoon High School, the Apollo Conference regular season champion, had two players named to the First Team and two to the Second Team. Members of the First Team were seniors Katelyn Fisher and Taylor Smith. Named to the Second Team were junior Emily Watson and sophomore Sierra Thompson.
Others named to the First Team were senior Allie Endsley (Charleston), senior Taylor Gibbons (Mount Zion), junior Kelsey McAtee (Mount Zion) and senior Lauren Nadler (Charleston).
Others named to the Second Team were senior Jade Frey (Mount Zion), senior Haley Nielson (Salem) and junior Morgan Sherwood (Charleston).
Mattoon won the regular season with a 9-1 record followed by Charleston 6-4, Effingham 6-4, Mount Zion 5-5, Salem 3-7 and Taylorville 1-9.
