Windsor came calling at Effingham St. Anthony's Enlow Center and picked up a National Trail Conference volleyball victory Thursday.
The Blue Devils won 26-24 and then claimed a 25-14 win. Logan Braunecker and Megan Nuxoll had seven kills each for St. Anthony. Megan Nuxoll had 15 digs while Jena Woltman had 19 assists.
Paige Wollard had seven kills, three blocks and six digs for the Blue Devils who improve to 2-0 in the conference, 8-2 overall.
The Bulldogs won the junior varsity match 25-13, 25-21.

At Altamont
Stewardson-Strasburg defeated Altamont in three games, 25-19, 23-25, 25-12 in a National Trail Conference contest.
"Tonight Altamont gave us great competition," said Stew-Stras Coach Ronda Schlechte. "It was a great match to play before the Crossroads Classic Tournament. We really struggled in game two with communication and serves. But, I'm proud of how the girls came out in game three and took care of business.
"You have to be mentally tough to do that and they did. We were able to work on some nice plays. Altamont put up a big block and we struggled at times to get around it. We still have several things to work on but they are coming along."
Kendall Knop had 13 assists and seven digs for the winners. Becca Schlechte had 11 kills and four aces. The Comets are now 3-0 in the conference, 4-0 overall.
Altamont was led by Higgs and Miller with three kills each. Higgs had three aces. Winters had 12 digs.
The Indians claimed the win in junior varsity action, 25-15, 25-10.

South Central picked up a non-conference victory over Clay City. Clay City won the opener 25-22 but the Cougars came back with 25-19, 25-11 scores to pull out the win and improve to 2-5.
Maria Brasel had seven kills and 13 assists for South Central. Deedra Schaal had 10 points, six kills and six digs. Cassidy Sill had four blocks.
The Cougars also won the junior varsity match 25-10, 25-14 to improve to 2-1.

Neoga improved to 1-1 in the National Trail Conference with a 26-24, 25-5 win over Beecher City. Lauren Romack had six kills and Nikki Miah eight digs for the Indians. Neoga improves to 2-6 overall.
Beecher City was led by Caitlin Sloan and Leah Kelly with three kills and nine digs each.
In the junior varsity match, Neoga won 25-18, 25-14.

Edwards County (Albion) defeated Newton in three games. The Eagles won the opener 25-21 but Edwards County came back with 25-14, 25-19 scores for the victory.
Newton was led by Cohorst with five kills, Koebele with 13 assists, Kr. Hardiek with three blocks and Johnson with 11 digs. The Eagles drop to 3-4 on the season.
In a junior varsity match, Newton won 26-24, 25-15. Edwards County claimed the freshman contest 25-16, 25-18.
