Effingham St. Anthony High School handed Neoga a National Trail Conference loss in volleyball competition Tuesday. The Bulldogs won 25-10, 25-12.
Logan Braunecker had eight kills for the winners. Megan Nuxoll led in digs with five and had two blocks. Jena Woltman had 15 assists. Emily Wortman, Hannah Will and Rachel Schultz had four aces each.
In the junior varsity match, St. Anthony won 25-19, 25-16. In a freshman/sophomore contest, St. Anthony won 25-12, 25-7.

At Strasburg
Stewardson-Strasburg improved to 2-0 in the National Trail Conference, 3-0 overall with a 25-18, 25-7 win over Beecher City.
"We started off game one with a lot of confusion on rotation which led to too many errors at the beginning," said Coach Ronda Schlechte. "This was Becca Schlechte's first night back so it was a new rotation for everyone. We are just going to have so many options with her back."
Becca Schlechte played her first match after a knee injury suffered over the summer. Schlechte finished with five kills and five assists. Kendall Knop and Clara Kaufman led in aces with four. Knop and Kaufman also had five kills. Knop led in digs with four.
Stew-Stras won the junior varsity match 25-10, 25-18 to improve to 2-0 in the conference, 2-1 overall.

Newton picked up a varsity match win over Oblong, 25-18, 25-17 to improve to 3-3 on the season.
Koebele, Kr. Hardiek and Ka. Hardiek had three aces each. Kline led in kills with six. Koebele led in assists with 12. Johnson led in digs with six.
Newton also claimed the junior varsity match 25-19, 25-22.

Teutopolis defeated Sullivan in varsity play, 25-12, 25-16. Caitlyn Hoene had four kills for the Shoes. Ashley Westjohn, Julie Wente and Kayla Kroeger led in aces with two each. Kroeger had three blocks. Westjohn led in assists with 10. Wente had eight digs.
T-town improves to 6-2 on the season. The Shoes also won the junior varsity contest, 25-16, 25-22.
At Sullivan

North Clay (Louisville) won a varsity contest over Webber Township (Bluford) in two games, 25-7, 25-17.
In junior varsity play, the Cardinals were winners, 25-19, 14-25, 25-17.
