Volleyball Camps at St. Anthony, Windsor Scheduled

Midwest Championship Volleyball Camps will be held at Effingham St. Anthony High School Monday, July 21 through Thursday, July 24 and at Windsor High School.

The camps will be coached by Jay Potter. Potter is a 28-year veteran of the game and has coached at every level from club and high school to professional with the United  States Professional Volleyball League. The second through 12th grade General Skills Camp at Windsor also will be coached by Lori Bennett.

The K-eighth Grade General Skills Camp will take place during the morning hours at St. Anthony. Kindergarten-second grade will be from 9-10 a.m., third-fifth from 9-10:30 a.m. and sixth-eighth from 10:30-noon. Cost is $40 for K-second and $60 for third through eighth.

The Position Training will take place at St. Anthony. This is for ages 8-12 only. Cost is $40 for one session, $80 for two sessions and $100 for all three sessions. Extended setting option, add $20. Session times include: passing/digging, 1-2 p.m., setting, 2-3 p.m., setting extended option 2-4 p.m., hitting blocking middles 2:45-3:45 and outsides 3-4 p.m.

The second through 12th grade Generals Skills will be at Windsor. Sessions include second through fifth grades from 5-6:30 p.m., sixth through eighth grades from 5-6:30 p.m. and ninth through 12th grades from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Cost is $45 for the first two sessions and $65 for the ninth through 12th grades.
