LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville track and field teams competed in the Akron Invitational and Meyo Invitational recently with a school record and five top-five finishes.
At Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind. the quartet of Emiliy Bushey, Taylor Bradley, Kelsey Cramsey (Effingham) and Maria Frigo raced to a school-record time of 11:47.61 in the women's distance medley relay. The time, good enough for a fifth-place showing, breaks the previous mark of 11:49.48 that was set in 2012.
At the Indiana Relays, Michelle Molodynia, Bushey, Cramsey and Frigo combined to break another relay record, setting the school mark in the women's 4x800m.
"I was very impressed with the women's distance medley relay," head coach Dale Cowper said. "Emily opened with an outstanding leg on 1,200m and then Taylor and Kelsey kept us in the race through the 400m and 800m."
