Cumberland, WSS Compete At Casey-Westfield Track Meet

CASEY -- Two area boys and girls track teams competed at the Casey-Westfield home meet Monday.

Cumberland and Windsor/Stewardson-Srasburg had several athletes finish well. Dieterich had one runner competing.

Cumberland's Kaelin Edwards claimed first place in the 200 in the girls meet with a time of 29.7 seconds.

Brielle Aaron finished second in the 100 with a time of 13.8 seconds.

Cumberland's Hannah Shoemaker won the 100 hurdles in 18.6 seconds and teammate Kailen Leitch took second in 19.1.

Cumberland's 400 relay team of Kinley McMechan, Edwards, Leitch and Hannah Shoemaker finished second in 56.8 seconds.

In the field events, Cumberland's Natalie Beamont was first with a toss of 28 feet, 7 inches.

Hannah Shoemaker finished second in the high jump at 4 feet, 4 inches. Brooke Schumacher took first in the long jump at 13 feet, 5 1/4 inches. Colby McCormick was second in the triple jump at 28-7.

In the boys meet, Cumberland's Kaleb Bierman finished second in the 500 in 55.6 seconds. Riley Morgan was first in the 800 in 2:12.0 while teammate Aydan Oakley took second at 2:24.0.

Cameron Roedl was first in the 1600 in 4:54.0 minutes.

In the 3200, Dieterich's Trevor Crutcher won in 10:32.0. Cumberland's Gavin Whitaker was second at 10:56.3.

Cumberland's Logan Gerhardt won the 110 hurdles in 17.3 seconds. Gerhardt also claimed the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.5 and  Stew-Stras' Brady Wallin was second at 50.0.

The Pirates' 400 relay team was second in 49.7 seconds and team members were Elliot Dryden, Cael McMechan, Bierman and Cameron Brown.

The 800 relay team of Gunter, Kearns, Brown and Dryden were second in 1:49.9. The 1600 relay team of Luke Dispennett, Blayke Brownlee, Blake Owens and Evan Pfeiffer finished second in 4:18.0.

In the field events, Brett Wolke of Cumberland was second in the discus at 97 feet, 7 inches. Bierman finished second in the triple jump at 34-6.

Stew-Stras' Jack Dison was second in the high jump at 5-8. Evan Pfeiffer was second in the long jump at 17-10 1/2.
