CARLINVILLE -- Effingham High School captured second place at the 16-team Jokisch-Grandone Girls Track Invitational Saturday.

Jessica Larsen captured first place in the 1600 with a time of 5:38.35 minutes while teammate Morgan Springer was third in 6:05.08.

Audrey Wagoner took first in the 3200 in 13:01.70 minutes.

Drew Weis won the 400 with a time of 59.90 seconds.

The Hearts had two relay teams claim victories. The 1600 relay team of Baylee Summers, Wagoner, Morgan Springer and Larsen won with a time of 4:14.12 minutes. The 3200 relay team of Summers, Melia Wendling, Springer and Weis were winners in 10:56.67 minutes.
