St. Anthony, Neoga, C'land Compete at Tuscola Open

TUSCOLA -- Effingham St. Anthony, Neoga and Cumberland competed in the 38th Annual Tuscola Boys and Girls Track Open Friday.

There were no team scores listed.

St. Anthony's Isaac Fallert and Cumberland's Kelby Bierman tied for third place in the pole vault at 2.74 meters.

Cumberland's Reid Carlen won the 100 in 11.01 seconds.

Neoga's top finisher was the 3200 relay team of Lucas Keller, Brayden Ray, Kyle Will and Brett Matusus finishing seventh in 9:41.20.

In the girls meet, St. Anthony's Aubrey Denning won the 800 with a time of 1:15.07 which broke the meet record previously held by St. Anthony's Anna Sophia Keller.

Denning also claimed first place in the 1600 with a time of 5:20.78.

Allison Geen won the pole vault with a vault of 3.35 meters while teammate Nora Trupiano was second in 2.44.

The Bulldogs' 1600 relay team finished second in 4:31.58. Members of the team were Audrey LaSarge, Emma Helmink, Stacie Vonderheide and Denning.

The 3200 relay team also finished second in 11:28.89. Team members were Helmink, Trupiano, Gracie Slifer and Vonderheide.

Cumberland's Katelyn Shoemaker finished third in the long jump at 5.00 meters. Shoemaker was also third in the triple jump at 10.00.

Neoga's top finisher was the 3200 relay team taking fifth in 12:01.92. Team members were Addison Mast, Kendal Lindsay, Atalie Osborn and Lexie Fletcher.
