Altamont Finishes Second At Coach Cork Boys Track Invite

ROBINSON -- Altamont High School finished second at the Coach Cork Boys Track Invitational Friday at Robinson High School.

Robinson was the winner with 123 points followed by Altamont 105.5, Shelbyville 104, Red Hill (Bridgeport) 67, Paris 61, Teutopolis 31, Brownstown/St. Elmo 26, Dieterich 14, Lawrenceville 12, Mount Carmel 4.5 and Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville 3.

Ben Roedl was a winner in two events while Jacob Veteto also claimed a victory for the Indians.

Roedl won the long jump at 20 feet, 10 inches and the triple jump with a leap of 42-3 1/2. Veteto took the pole vault title at 12 feet, 6 inches.

The Altamont 800 relay team was a champion with a time of 1:35.90 minutes. Team members were Dexter Sloan, Roedl, Trent Tetrick and Garrett Schultz.

Altamont's Logan Duncan finished second in the 200 in 23.82 while teammate Dexter Sloan was third in 23.96. Jacob Johnson was third in the 400 in 55.85. Hayden Summers placed second in the 300 hurdles in 44.0. Derrick Bauer was third in the discus with a throw of 124-10.

Altamont's 1600 relay team took second in 3:47.89. Members were Garrett Schultz, Kamryn Wolfert, Hayden Summers and Dexter Sloan.

Brownstown/St. Elmo's Trenten Monnet won the discus with a throw of 141 feet, 8 inches.

Dieterich's Kaden Einhorn was second in the 3200 in 10:15.38 minutes. Lowell Wilhour was third in the 110 hurdles in 17.44 and third in the 300 hurdles in 44.68.

T-town's Karson Zerrusen finished second in the 110 hurdles in 17.36 seconds. Anthony Roley was second in the shot with a throw of 41-11. Brant Niebrugge took second in the pole vault at 11 feet while teammate Isaiah Lee was third, also at 11 feet.
