CHBC, Neoga, Windsor/Stew-Stras Compete At Tri-County Track Meets

SULIVAN -- Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, Neoga and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg competed in the boys and girls Sullivan Tri-County Track Meets Tuesday.

In the girls meet, Shelbyville won with 91 points followed by Sullivan 69, Pana 45, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 45, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 30, Arcola 27, Villa Grove 27, Moweaqua Central A&M 24, Bethany Okaw Valley 22, Neoga 9 and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 9.

CHBC's Kyleigh Wallace won the discus with a throw of 35.28 meters and took fourth in the shot with a throw of 10.08 meters.

Ellie Miller finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 9.60 meters. The Bobcats' Ada Prosser also took a third in the pole vault at 2.31 meters.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's Mya Friese finished second in the 800 in 2:38.09 minutes.

Neoga's top finisher was Emileonna Hamilton fifth in the long jump at 4.40 meters.

In the boys meet, Sullivan won with 160 points followed by Shelbyville 55, Pana 48, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 32, Moweaqua Central A&M 31, Villa Grove 31, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 21, Neoga 13, Bethany Okaw Valley 4, Arcola 4 and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 4.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's August Cosart finished second in the 3200 in 10:48.25 minutes and was third in the 800 in 2:11.65 minutes. Gage Hart was fifth in the shot with a throw of 11.69 meters.

Neoga's 3200 relay team of Lucas Keller, Brayden Ray, Kyle Will and Brett Matusus finished second in 9:45.87 minutes.
