Bulldogs Capture Own Track Meets

Effingham St. Anthony hosted Brownstown/St. Elmo and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg and won both the boys and girls track meets Monday.

In the boys meet, St. Anthony won with 106 points followed by BSE with 41 and WSS with 17.

St. Anthony's Julius Ramos was a triple event winner, taking the 800 in 2:35.3 minutes, the 1600 in 5:12.7 and the 3200 in 11:03.8.

Isaac Fallert was a winner in the 400 for the Buldogs in 55.3 seconds and also captured the pole vault with a vault of 2.90 meters. Calvin Sudkamp won the high jump at 1.85 meters.

The Bulldogs won the 400 relay in 49.7 seconds. Members of the team were Evan Meyer, Connor Croy, Michael Wright and Ronan Bailey. The 800 relay team of Sudkamp, Keegan Overbeck, James Emmerich and Riley Miller won in 1:48.5 minutes.

St. Anthony also claimed the 1600 relay in 4:00.7 and members were Fallert, Emmerich, J. Ramos and Noah Flag. The Bulldogs captured the 3200 relay in 9:59.5. Elvin Martinez, Daniel Ramos, Riley Miller and Overbeck were the team members.

 A triple event winner for Brownstown/St. Elmo was Lowell Wilhour who took the long jump at 5.41 meters , the triple jump at 11.58 and the 110 hurdles in 18.1 seconds.

Ryan Powell won the 100 in 12.1 seconds and the 200 in 25.1.Trenton Monnet was a winner for the Bombers in the discus with a throw of 45.52 meters and the shot at 12.65 meters.

Brownstown/St. Elmo won the mixed 400 relay in 52.5 seconds and the 400 relay in 58.1 seconds.

In the girls meet, St. Anthony was the winner with 95 points followed by Brownstown/St. Elmo 57 and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 8.

Katie Berner captured two victories for the Bulldogs. Berner won the 100 hurdles in 17.7 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 50.4.

Madilyn Haarmann was also a two event winner, taking the shot with a heave of 9.55 meters and the discus with a throw of 28.94 meters.

Aubrey Denning captued the 400 in 1:01.0 minutes. Emma Helmink was a winner in the 800 in 2:47.7. Gracie Slifer won the 3200 in 16:18.8.

Mary Scheidemantel captured the high jump at 1.52 meters. Allison Geen was a winner in the pole vault at 3.36. Mady Hodge won the long jump at 4.57 and Grace Niebrugge captured the triple jump at 9.60.

St. Anthony won the 3200 relay in 10:00.0, a new school record. Team members were Emma Helmink, Stacie Vonderheide, Isabella Keller and Aubrey Denning.

Presley Williams was a double event winner for Brownstown/St. Elmo. She claimed the 100 in 13.3 seconds and the 200 in 27.8.

The Bombers won the 400 relay in 54.2 seconds. Team members were Chloe Counts-Austin, Cordelia Lytle, Addie Sasse and Presley Wililams.. The Bombers claimed the 400 relay in 1:54.0. Team members were Berner, Lytle, Sasse and Williams. They also claimed the 1600 relay in 4:26.3 with Lytle, Counts-Austin, Sasse and Berner.

Audria Logue captured the 1600 for the Bombers in 8:07.3 minutes.
