Brownstown/St. Elmo Competes In Vandalia Track Meets

VANDALIA -- Brownstown/St. Elmo competed in the Vandalia Quadrangular Boys and Girls Track Meets with host Vandalia, Patoka and Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran Thursday.

Presley Williams and Katie Berner captured double event wins in the girls meet while Trenten Monnet claimed two victories in the boys meet for BSE.

Williams was a winner in the 100 with a time of 13.24 seconds and claimed the 200 in 27.54.

Berner was a winner in the 100 hurdles in 17.14 seconds and captured the 300 hurdles in 53.04 seconds.

Monnet won the discus with a throw of 134 feet, 9 1/4 inches. He also claimed the shot with a heave of 45 feet, 10 1/2 inches.

Other first place finishes for the girls included the 400 relay team in 55.84 seconds and the 800 relay team in 1:56.20 minutes.

Lowell Wilhour captured a first place finish in the boys 300 hurdles with a time of 44.54 seconds.
