St. Anthony Boys, Girls Win Track Meets At Cumberland

TOLEDO -- Effingham St. Anthony won both the boys and girls track meets at Cumberland High School Tuesday.

The Bulldogs claimed the girls meet with 81 points followed by Hume Shiloh 40, Casey-Westfield 36.5, Cumberland 23, Marshall 22, Bethany Okaw Valley 17, Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 8.5 and Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville 8.

St. Anthony's Isabella Keller was a double event winner. Keller claimed the 800 in 2:15.0 minutes and the 1600 in 4:56.86.

The Bulldogs' 3200 relay team of Emma Helmink, Nora Trupiano, Gracie Slifer and Aubrey Denning won in 11:17.31. 

Madilyn Haarman claimed the shot with a throw of 9.37 meters. Allison Geen took the pole vault at 3.04 meters while Grace Niebrugge captured the triple jump at 9.77 meters. Mary Scheidemantel tied for first place in the high jump at 1.42 meters.

Cumberland's Katelyn Shoemaker was a winner in the long jump at 5.16 meters.

The Pirates' Kailen Leitch took the 300 hurdles in 53.82 seconds.

In the boys meet, St. Anthony won with 54 points edging Cumberland with 51, Casey-Westfield with 50, Marshall 26, Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville 22, Hume Shiloh 21, Bethany Okaw Valley 8 and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 7.

St. Anthony won the 3200 relay in 8:48.37 minutes. Members of the team were Elliott Frisbie, Isaac Fallert, Julius Ramos and Noah Flaig.

Calvin Sudkamp was a winner in the high jump at 1.83 meters and claimed the triple jump at 10.98.

Cumberland ended with three first place finishes. Reid Carlen won the 100 in 11.45 seconds.

Cameron Roedl claimed the 1600 in 4:43.24 minutes andKelby Bierman was a winner in the pole vault at 3.04 meters.
