CHBC, Cumberland, Neoga Compete at ALAH Invitationals

ARTHUR -- Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, Cumberland and Neoga competed in the boys and girls Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond boys and girls track invitationals Saturday.

Tuscola was the team champion in both the boys and girls meets.

Tuscola won the boys meet with 148 points followed by Sullivan 134, Decatur St. Teresa 51, Villa Grove 51, Casey-Westfield 48, Cumberland 42, Artur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 38, Marshall 30, Arcola 29, Moweaqua Central A&M 28, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 20, Cerro Gordo-Bement 20, Macon Meridian 9, Warrensburg-Latham 8, Niantic Sangamon Valley 4, Hume Shiloh 2 and Neoga 1.

Cumberland's Reid Carlen finished second in the 100 and 200. Reid had a time of 11.38 seconds in the 100 and 23.63 seconds in the 200. Logan Gerhardt was second in the 300 hurdles in 43.36. The Pirates also had a fifth place finish by Riley Morgan in the 1600 in 4:54.63 minutes.

The Pirates 1600 relay team of Gerhardt, Cooper Yocum, Kaleb Bierman and Jonathan Flier finished fourth in 3:46.40 while the 3200 relay team of Kade Bradley, Quentin Dulong, Sawyer Wellbaum and Landon Finn were fourth in 9:40.71

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's Remington Howell finished fourth in the 110 hurdles in 18.61 seconds. The Bobcats' Porter Lilly took third in the high jump at 1.74 meters.

In the girls meet, Tuscola was a winner with 142 points followed by Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 89, Marshall 65.5, Sullivan 51, Warrensburg-Latham 47, Casey-Westfield 45, Villa Grove 35, Arcola 33.5, Decatur St. Teresa 30, Cumberland 24, Hume Shiloh 23, Cerro Gordo-Bement 22, Niantic Sangamon Valley 13, Bethany Okaw Valley 11, Neoga 11, Macon Meridian 10 and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 8.

In the girls meet, Cumberland's Kailen Leitch was fourth in the 300 hurdles in 53.03 seconds.

The Pirates' 1600 relay team of Leah Gray, Brielle Aaron, Cameron Robbins and Katelyn Shoemaker finished fourth in 4:49.63 minutes. The 800 relay team of Aaron, Gray, Robbins and Leitch finished fifth in 2:02.84 minutes. Shoemaker finished fourth in the long jump at 4.69 meters and was fifth in the triple jump at 9.35.

Neoga's 3200 relay team of Kendal Lindsay, Annie Clark, Atalie Osborn and Lexie Fletcher finished in 12:02.76 minutes.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's Kyleigh Wallace was fourth in the discus with a throw of 31.31 meters.
