St. Anthony, Altamont, Cumberland Boys, Girls Compete At Track Classic

JACKSONVILLE -- Four Effingham St. Anthony High School girls finished in the top five of their respective events at the Central Illinios High Performance Track Classic Saturday plus there were some good performances from Altamont, Newton and Cumberland boys and girls.

Isabella Keller won the 3200 with a school record time of 10:19.76 and Allison Geen won the pole vault, clearing 3.23 meters.

Aubrey Denning finished second in the 800 with a time of 2:24.29 minutes, only 16 tenths of a second behind the winning time of 2:24.13.

Callie Emmerich captured third place in the shot with a throw of 8.51 meters.

Altamont's Abigail Weishaar won the 400 dash with a time of 1:03.68 minutes. RayLynn Myers took third in the pole vault at 8 ft., 1 3/4 inches.

In the boys meet, Newton's Parker Wolf won the 400  in 51.86 seconds while Altamont's Hayden Summers took third in 54.48.

Altamont's Ben Roedl won the high jump at 5 feet, 11 3/4 inches and teammate Hayden Bridges took fifth at 5-7 3/4. Roedl also claimed first place in the triple jump at 42-5 1/2.

The Indians' Jacob Veteto was second in the pole vault at 13-1 3/4 and teammate Kingston Koester finished fifth at 11-1 1/2.

Cumberland's Reid Carlen finished second in the 60 meter dash in 7.24 seconds.

Newton's Luke Weber was third in the 800 in 2:02.11.
