Area Finalists Do Well At Class 1A State Track Meet

CHARLESTON -- Four area competitors finished well at the Class 1A State Boys Track Meet Saturday at Eastern Illinois University's O'Brien Stadium.

Newton High School's Parker Wolf competed in the 400 and finished in second place with a time of 49.88 seconds.

Altamont had two competing. Jacob Veteto finished seventh in the pole vault with a vault of 3.80 meters.

Eric Kollman captured ninth place in the shot with a throw of 15.04 meters.

Teutopolis High School's Ethan Mette competed in the triple jump and finished eighth  at 12.86 meters.
