Area Teams Competed At Coach Tony Cork Boys Track Invite

ROBINSON -- Five area teams competed at the Tony Cork Boys Track Invitational Friday at Robinson High School.

Robinson won the meet with 168 points followed by Charleston 120, Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville 67, Altamont 65, Red Hill (Bridgeport) 38, Brownstown/St. Elmo 30, Mount Carmel 29, Teutopolis 26, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 243, Paris 21 and Dieterich 4.

Brownstown/St. Elmo's Lowell Wilhour captured first place in the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.9 seconds.

T-town's Ethan Mette was a winner in the triple jump with a leap of 40 feet, 10 inches.

Logan Duncan took second for Altamont in the 400 in 55.7 seconds while Ben Roedl was second in the high jump at 6 feet, 4 inches.

The Altamont 400 relay team of Kamryn Wolfert, Alex Walker, Garrett Schultz and Duncan finished second with a time of 45.6. The Indians also had the 3200 relay team finish second in 11:06.5. Team members were Hayden Summers, Andrew Ellersick, Lane Spring and Juan Fulk.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's Trenton Monet was second in the discus with a throw of 132 feet, 8 1/2 inches.

Brownstown/St. Elmo's Ryan Powell was second in the 800 in 2:12.1.
