Sigel St. Michael Second In Seventh-Grade Boys State Track; Class 1A Results

Sigel St. Michael finished second in the Class 1A Seventh-Grade Boys State Track Meet Saturday while the seventh-grade Sharpshooter girls finished fourth in their State Meet.

There were several individual state champions.

In the seventh-grade boys meet, Bryce Niebrugge from St. Michael claimed the pole vault title with a vault of 9 feet, 3 inches while Brant Niebrugge was second at 9 feet.

Effingham Sacred Heart's Jude Traub captured two first place finishes. he won the shot with a heave of 39 feet, 9 1/2 inches and claimed the discus at 124-2.

In the seventh-grade girls meet, St. Michael's Ava Miller won the pole vault at 7 feet, 6 inches. Cara Hatton claimed the high jump for the Sharpshoters at 4 feet, 11 inches. The 400 relay team of Kaelyn Ordner, Kaylie Jordan, Ali Kollmann and Hatton won in 57.53 seconds.
