Altamont, Brownstown/St. Elmo Nab Boys, Girls Track Meets

TEUTOPOLIS -- Altamont claimed first place in a five-team boys track meet at Teutopolis Tuesday while Brownstown/St. Elmo won the four-team girls meet.

In the boys meet, Altamont tallied 96 points followed by Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 38, Teutopolis 16, Dieterich 8 and Brownstown/St. Elmo 6.

Altamont won the 400 relay with a time of 46.39 seconds. Team members were Xander Moschenrose, Noah Klimpel, Devon Sloan and Logan Duncan. The Indians also claimed the 800 relay in 1:45.66 minutes. Team members were Daniel McCammon, Garrett Schultz, Kingston Koester and Alex Walker. Altamont also won the 1600 relay in 4:28.06 minutes. Team members were Hayden Summers, Zach Shafer, Tristan Rhodes and Dalton Roedl

Moschenrose picked up a victory in the 100 in 11.74 seconds and the 200 in 23.7 seconds.

Klimpel was a winner in the 400 in 56.1 seconds. Kingston Koester was a winner in the pole vault with a vault of 2.59 meters. Garrett Schultz won the triple jump at 10.49 meters. Eric Kollman won the discus with a throw of 42.93 meters.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's Jadon Robertson was a four event winner, capturing both hurdles races. He won the 110 in 14.5 seconds and the 300 in 40.4. He also was a winner in the long jump with a leap of 6.26 meters and the high jump at 2.08 meters.

The Bobcats' Zander Mayfield also was a double event winner. He won the 800 in 2:20.6 minutes and the 1600 in 5:38.0. Lucas Daniel won the shot with a throw of 16.57 meters.

Dieterich's Jack Bloemer claimed the 3200 in 12:01.4 minutes.

In the girls meet, Brownstown/St. Elmo won with 48 points followed by Teutopolis 45, Altamont 40 and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 25.

BSE's Cordlia Lytle captured the 400 in 1:06.5 minutes. Katie Berner was a winner in the 300 hurdles in 56.2 seconds. Addie McWhorter was a winner in the high jump at 1.52 meters. Sydney Stine claimed the discus with a throw of 27.20 meters.

The Bombers captured the 1600 relay in 4:58.79 minutes. Team members were Emma McNabb, Berner, Jaydin Huddlestun and Lytle. They also won the 800 relay in 2:05.94 minutes. Members were Julia Perri, Bethany Shoenhoff, McNabb and Laney Baldrige.

Altamont was a winner in the 400 relay in 57.02 seconds. Team members were Maya Moore, Audrey Brinker, Kylie Osteen and Gabriella Weishaar.

Grace Nelson captured three events. She won the 100 hurdles in 14.8 seconds, the 100 in 12.4 seconds. She won the long jump at 4.97 meters.

Altamont's Aibgail Weishaar won the 800 in 2:56.6 minutes.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's Olivia Durbin captured the 1600 in 7:21.4 minutes. Kylee Wallace was a winner in the shot with a throw of 8.83 meters.

T-town's Kaitlyn Vahling was a winner in the 200 in 28.1 seconds. Isabelle Hemmen won the pole vault at 3.35 meters.
