TAYLORVILLE -- Effingham St. Anthony High School captured a triangular girls track meet Monday evening.

The Bulldogs tallied 79 points followed by Taylorville 78 and Waverly 28.

St. Anthony captured eight individual first place finishes and two relays. The Bulldogs won the 400 relay in 55.2 seconds and the 800 relay in 2:02.1 minutes. Kassy Dammerman claimed two victories, taking the 100 hurdles in 17.4 and the triple jump at 29 feet, 8 inches. Sarah Wortman also claimed two wins in the 200 in 31.0 and the pole vault at 10 feet.

Newton claimed a triangular meet on its home track Monday. The Eagles taliled 84 1/2 points followed by Teutopolis 75 and Robinson 26 1/2.

The Eagles nabbed eight victories. Johnson won the 100 and 200 in 12.83 and 27.75 respectively. Barthleme also captured two wins, taking the 300 hurdles in 49.75 and the long jump at 15-9 3/4.

T-town won six events. The Wooden Shoes nabbed the 1600 relay and the 3200 relay.

Neoga's Croy claimed the long jump at 16 feet, 11 inches. The Indians also took two seconds and three thirds.

Cumberland's Hutchision was second in the 1600 and 3200.
