Bulldogs Win Boys, Girls Meets

Effingham St. Anthony played host to Neoga, Windsor and Patoka and picked up both a boys and a girls victory in track Monday.

In the boys meet, the Bulldogs scored 94 points followed by Neoga 76, Windsor 46 and Patoka 13.

The Bulldogs took seven first place finishes in the meet. Andrew Gardewine picked up two victories, capturing the 800 in 2:17 minutes and the 400 in 57.09 seconds. Sam Wortman also was a double event winner, claiming the high jump at 6 feet, 4 inches and the pole vault at 11 ft.

In the girls meet, the Bulldogs won with 94 1/2 points followed by Neoga 69 1/2, Windsor 59 and Patoka 28.

The Bulldogs captured six wins, taking the 1600 relay in 4:37 minutes and the 3200 relay in 11:16.  Elizabeth Falconburg was a double event winner, capturing the 800 in 2:47 and the 400 in 1:06.30.

Bullock picked up three victories for Windsor claiming the 200 in 27.41 seconds, the long jump at 15-5 and the triple jump at 31-10.
