Anna Sophia Keller Does Well at Notre Dame

Anna Sophia Keller is doing just fine at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
The Effingham St. Anthony High School graduate, is in her senior year at Notre Dame and running up a storm. During her college career she has competed in track and cross country. Her college bests are as follows:
800 -- 2:10.40 minutes; 1500 -- 4:17.04; Mile -- 4:46.36, 3000 -- 9:37.17; 3000S -- 9:56.88; 5000 -- 17:10.44; Cross country: 5K -- 17:04.2 and 6K -- 21:03.1.
She competed, along with her teammates, last week in the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships where she finished third with her personal best time of 9:56.88 in the 3000 steeplechase. That time put her third best in Notre Dame history to become a First Team All ACC honoree.
Back on May 1, her team competed in the Bob Harris Open where she took first in the 800 in 2:10.40 and was on her team's 4x400 relay team that placed second in 4:03.53.
Over the past four years, Keller has been in the top of the pack in a lot of her races.
As a junior she won the mile with a time of 4:54.37 at the GVSU Bill Clinger Classic. This year as a senior she won the mile at the Notre Dame Invitational in 4:53.30. She finished fifth in the 1500 in 4:17.04 at the Drake Relays in April and was fourth in the 3000 steeplechase at the Raleigh Relays. She took second in the 800 at the Lenny Lyles Cardinals Invitational in February.
For those who remember her outstanding high school career, Keller was an 11-time state champion. She won the 1600 all four years in high school in 2013-14 at 5:01.02, 2014-15 at 5:03.19, 2015-16 at 4:59.64 and 2016-17 at 4:58.42.
The 3200 three years in 2014-15 at 10:42.93, 2015-16 at 10:32.16 and 2016-17 at 10:36.64.
She also was a four-time state champion at the girls cross country meet, claiming the titles in 2013-14 at 16:35, 2014-15 at 16:27, 2015-16 at 16:21 and 2016-17 at 16:32.
Keller is the daughter of Chuck Jr. and Fanny Mae Keller. She majored in design with a business economics minor at Notre Dame.
