HIGHLAND -- Effingham High School competed in the Highland Freshman/Sophomore Boys Track Invitational Tuesday.

The Hearts had several top five finishes. Leading the way were first and second place finishes for Tristin Duncan. Duncan claimed the 100 with a time of 11.46 seconds. He also captured second in the long jump with a leap of 19 feet, 5 inches.

Lewis Holden took second in the 300 hurdles with a time of 45.0 and was fifth in the 110 hurdles in 17.93.

Drew Blacker finished fourth in the shot with a throw of 38-6. Tristin Elkin had a fourth in the 800 with a throw of 118-8. the Effingham 400 relay team finished fourth in 45.90.

A fifth place finish went to Dalton Fox in the pole vault at 10 feet.
