Area Teams Compete at Charleston Indoor Boys Track Meet

CHARLESTON -- Several area teams competed in the Charleston High School Indoor Boys Track Invitational Saturday.

Teams from this area included Effingham St. Anthony, Effingham, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, Altamont, Cumberland, Newton and Neoga.

CHBC's Dylan Webster captured a second and a third place finish. Webster took second in the triple jump with a leap of 40 feet, 6 1/2 inches. He finished third in the 200 with a time of 24.37 seconds. Along with those finishes, he was seventh in the pole vault at 12-6 and eighth in the 60 in 7.42 seconds.

Altamont High School's Tim Moore captured third place in the pole vault at 14 feet.

Cumberland's Myles Gerhardt finished fourth in the 400 in 54.34 seconds.

Effingham's top finisher was Clayton Cramsey sixth in the 800 in 2:08.97 minutes and he finished seventh in the 400 in 54.49.

St. Anthony's top finish was the 3200 relay team taking 12th in 9:38.36.

Newton's top finish was Kyle Schafer 11th in the 60 hurdles in 9.42 and the 1600 relay team 11th in 3:52.52.

Neoga's top finish was Brayden Cox 10th in the 3200 in 10:59.53.
