St. Anthony junior Ty Kinkelaar won the State 1A Discus Throw Championship Saturday during the finals of the Boys Track and Field finals.

Kinkelaar won the state title with a throw of 164 feet, six inches.

Here's a recap of how the other area 1A athletes fared in the finals Saturday:

In the Pole Vault, Andrew McWhorter of Teutopolis finished fourth at 13' 9" and Tim Moore of Altamont finished 11th at 12 feet

In the High Jump, Keith King of Newton finished 12th at 6' 1"

In the Shot Put, Dalton Walk of St. Anthony finished 12th at 48' 6"

In the Discus Throw, Nate Brown of Altamont finished sixth at 153' 10"

In the 800 Meter Run, Joseph Stone of Newton finished ninth in 1:57.93

In the 400 Meter Run, Dillon Howard of Cumberland finished fifth in 50.91

In the 400 Meter Relay, Newton's team of Mitch Bierman, Trenton Duncan, Rhett Kocher and Joseph Stone finished eighth in 44.24

In the 3200 Meter Run, Kort McClellan of Cumberland finished 12th in 10:11.29

In the Pole Vault, Alec Morrissey of Effingham finished fourth at 14 feet, a personal record

In the High Jump, Terrence Hill of Effingham finished 11th at 6' 1". Hill was tied for eighth, but lost in the tiebreakers

In the 100 Meter Dash, Terrence Hill of Effingham finished eighth in 11.27.
