Final Day Results from AA Junior High State Track Meet

It was a busy second day Saturday at the State AA Junior High Track Meet.
We just missed having an eighth grade boys state champion, as Evan Addis of Teutopolis made the top height of 5 feet, 11 inches, but Aden Sears of Eureka also made that height and won the overall title.
As far as the other results from Saturday's competition:
7TH GRADE BOYS--
110 Meter Hurdles--Ben Meinhart of Jasper County was 37th in the prelims in 18.74
Shot Put--Sam Bushur of Teutopolis finished in sixth place, going 38 feet, 7-1/2 inches
100 Meter Dash--Devin Shaffer of Jasper County finished 40th in the prelims in 12.93
200 Meter Dash--Devin Shaffer of Jasper County finished 46th in the prelims in 27.54
800 Meter Relay--Teutopolis finished 19th in 1:49.75
8TH GRADE BOYS--
Shot Put--Dylan Overbeck of Teutopolis finished 20th at 40 feet, 9-1/4 inches and Matthew Deters of Teutopolis finished 23rd at 40 feet, 1/4 inch
Discus Throw--Tristen Elkin of Effingham finished 10th, with a toss of 134 feet, 11 inches
100 Meter Dash--Tristian Duncan of Effingham finished 24th in the prelims in 12.11
Pole Vault--Brody Mette of Teutopolis finished ninth at 10 feet, Nathan Thompson of Effingham finished 15th at nine feet, six inches, and Kolten Koester of Teutopolis finished 24th at nine feet
400 Meter Relay--Effingham finished 32nd in 48.94
200 Meter Dash--Tristian Duncan of Effingham finished 37th in 24.73
1600 Meter Relay--Teutopolis finished 26th in 3:54.34
7TH GRADE GIRLS--
800 Meter Relay--Effingham finished 41st in 2:03.56
8TH GRADE GIRLS--
200 Meter Run--Mackenzie Wittenberg of Effingham finished 29th in 28.19
800 Meter Relay--Teutopolis finished 35th in 1:58.43
1600 Meter Relay--Teutopolis finished 32nd in 4:34.92
Pole Vault--Mallory Stone of Teutopolis finished 21st at seven feet, three inches
