Two More State Titles for Anna Sophia Keller; Back-to-Back State Titles for Kristin Slaughter

What a day for Anna Sophia Keller on Saturday, two state championships and her high school graduation ceremony!
Anna Sophia captured the state titles in both the 1600 meter run and 3200 meter run. She won the 1600 meter for the fourth straight year in a time of 4:58.42, more than 10 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
She won the 3200 meter for the third straight year in a time of 10:36.64, almost 22 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
That's seven state championships in track and field for Anna Sophia, to go with four state cross country championships.
Saturday was also a special day for St. Anthony's Kristin Slaughter, who won the state pole vault title for the second straight year, going 12 feet, six inches. Kristin finished second, second, first and first in pole vault during her four years of high school. She also graduated Saturday night.
Here's how the other area high school qualifiers finished on Saturday:
Rachel Jackman of Altamont did not place in the high jump.
Claire Bushur of Teutopolis finished sixth in the shot put, at 39 feet, 3-3/4 inches.
Whitney Smith of Windsor/Stew-Stras finished 12th in the triple jump, going 35 feet, 2-1/4 inches.
Sarah Carr of St. Anthony finished 10th in the 800 meter run in 2:24.07.
Claire Wilhour of Brownstown/St. Elmo finished seventh in the 300 meter low hurdles in 46.59 seconds.
Emmalyn Walk of Neoga finished 23rd in the 3200 meter run in 12:23.82.
The Teutopolis 4X800 meter relay team of Rebecca Habing, Morgan Mette, Savannah Grimes and Kara Weichman finished fifth in 9:55.6.
The Teutopolis 4X200 meter relay team of Lanae Koester, Cali Johnson, Morgan Mette and Julia Hardiek finished fifth in 1:48.
The St. Anthony 4X400 meter relay team of Sarah Carr, Abby Weis, Anna Sophia Keller and Kristin Slaughter finished fifth in 4:07.62.
The Teutopolis 4X400 meter relay team of Kara Weichman, Rebecca Habing, Savannah Grimes and Morgan Mette finished seventh in 4:09.89.
St. Anthony finished fourth in the Class 1A team competition, Teutopolis was 12th, and Brownstown/St. Elmo was 60th.
