EHS Takes Third at Boys Apollo Meet, Fourth in Girls Meet

Effingham High School took third place honors at the Apollo Conference Track Meet Monday, fourth place in the girls meet. The meet was held in Mattoon.

EHS got two first place finishes in the boys meet. Terrance Hill won the long jump, going 20' 6". Jacob Miller won the triple jump, going 40' 9-1/2". 

Effingham also got two first place finishes in the girls meet. Kourtney Cordes won the 3200 meter run in a time of 12:16.06. Camryn Heuerman won the 100 meter hurdles in 17.19 seconds.

As far as the other events, in the boys meet for Effingham: Terrance Hill and Braden Hasty finished 2-3 in the 100 meter dash; Hill finished second and Clayton Cramsey finished fourth in the 200 meter dash; Cramsey finished fourth and Kaleb Kihne finished eighth in the 400 meter run; Jacob Donaldson finished fourth and Tyler Homann finished 10th in the 800 meter run; Brandon Marschewski finished ninth and Andrew Perry finished 11th in the 1600 meter run; Alfredo Lopez finished ninth and Chris Schaefer finished 10th in the 3200 meter run; Jacob Bushue finished fifth and Lucas Vasquez finished seventh in the 110 meter hurdles; Tyler Marschewski finished fourth and Bushue finished 10th in the 300 meter hurdles; the 4X100 meter relay team of Jack Woelfer, Braden Hasty, Kody Line and Tyler Marschewski finished second; the 4X200 meter relay team of Tyler Marschewski, Alec Morrissey, Jack Woelfer and Kody Line finished fourth; the 4X400 meter relay team of Kaleb Kihne, Jacob Donaldson, Tyler Homann and Clayton Cramsey finished fifth; the 4X800 meter relay team of Zeel Patel, Brandon Marschewski, Chris Schaefer and Tyler Homann finished fifth; Terrance Hill and Kody Line finished 2-3 in the high jump; Alec Morrissey finished second in the pole vault; Ash Blunt finished third and Frank Schneiderjon finished eighth in the shot put; and Ben Schuette finished fourth and Schneiderjon finished eighth in the discus throw

As far as the other events in the girls meet for Effingham: Kylee Beard and Bayleigh Longwell finished ninth and 10th in the 100 meter dash; Beard finished sixth and Longwell finished ninth in the 200 meter dash; Miranda Fox finished sixth and Kaylee Phillips finished 10th in the 400 meter run; Cordes finished fourth and Hannah Pike finished seventh in the 800 meter run; Meredith Kull finished seventh and Lali Hoyos finished ninth in the 1600 meter run; Briana Schmidt finished eighth in the 3200 meter run; Natalie Carie finished fourth in the 100 meter hurdles; Heuerman finished seventh in the 300 meter hurdles; the 4X100 meter relay team of Heuerman, Carie, Beard and Longwell finished fifth; the 4X200 meter relay team of Chloe Martin, Renae Bingman, Ashlyn Hanks and Longwell finished fifth; the 4X400 meter relay team of Carie, Phillips, Martin and Fox finished sixth; the 4X800 meter relay team of Pike, Hoyos, Kull and Fox finished fourth; Martin finished sixth and Phillips finished eighth in the high jump; Fox finished fifth in the pole vault; Beard finished fourth and Taylor finished 11th in the long jump; Carie finished sixth and Taylor finished seventh in the triple jump; Shelby Myers finished second and Alex Denoyer finished 11th in the shot put; Myers finished third and Denoyer finished eighth in the discus throw
