T-town Wins Girls Quadrangular Track Meet

NEWTON -- Teutopolis High School claimed a triangular girls track victory Monday. The Wooden Shoes won with 124 points followed by Robinson 122, Newton 114 and Palestine/Hutsonville 22.

T-town claimed the 400 relay with a time of 53.83 seconds.

Individually, the Wooden Shoes' Grimes was a winner in two events, taking the long jump at 15 feet, 4 inches and the triple jump at 33-2. Bushur captured the shot with a throw of 38 feet, 2 1/4 inches and the discus at 110-11.

Vogt won the 3200 in 14:45 minutes. Mette captured the 400 in 1:00.68. Wessell won the high jump at 4-9 and Schwinke claimed the pole vault at 8-6.

Newton was a winner in the 3200 relay with a time of 11:02.81. Haarman took the 100 in 13.26, Clinton won the 800 in 2:45.09 and Probst claimed the 300 hurdles in 53.44.
