T-town Wins Six-Team Girls Track Meet

ARCOLA -- Teutopolis High School claimed a six-team girls track meet Tuesday at Arcola. The Wooden Shoes won with 175 points followed by Sulilvan 120, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 108, Judah Christian School 54, Villa Grove 23 and Arcola 16.

The Wooden Shoes three first place relay finishes. The Shoes won the 400 relay in 54.22 seconds. Members of the relay were Julia Hardiek, Lanae Koester, Nikki Wellbaum and Morgan Mette. T-town won the 800 relay in 1:54.06 minutes. Members of the team were Cali Johnson, Kara Weichman, Mette and Hardiek.

T-town won the 1600 relay in 4:31.37. Weichman, Rebecca Habing, Micah McWhorter and Mette were team members.

Cali Johnson was a winner in the 100 with a time of 13.76 seconds.

Savannah Grimes claimed the 3200 in 13:12.64 minutes. Grimes also claimed the triple jump at 31 feet, 11 inches.

Lauren Wessel tied for first place in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 4 inches. Claire Bushur won the shot with a throw of 37-6 1/2

In the boys meet, Sullivan won with 140 points followed by Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 126, Teutopolis 103, Arcola 77, Villa Grove 74 and Judah Christian School 2.

T-town's Noah Probst finished second in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:27.03.

Braydon Bushue was second in the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 5 1/2 inches.

Devin Mette took second in the high jump at 5 feet, 8 inches.
