St. A, T-town, WSS Compete at Gene Armer Track & Field Invite

CHAMPAIGN -- Effingham St. Anthony, Teutopolis and Stewardson-Strasburg had athletes compete in the Gene Armer Girls Track and Field Invitational Saturday.

Evanston Township won the team title with 55 points followed by Springfield Southeast 52, Bloom Township 48, Urbana 40,  Danville 38, Crete-Monee 37, Edwardsville 36, Lane Tech 27, Effingham St. Anthony 20, Charleston 17, Freeburg 16, Champaign St. Thomas More 15, Mahomet-Seymour 15, Belleville East 14, Granite City 13, Litchfield 12.5, Decatur Eisenhower 12, Normal 12, TF North 11.5, Shepard 11, Springfield Lanphier 10, Manual 10, Dixon 8, Mascoutah 7, Rockford Lutheran 7, Jersey 6, North Lawndale Prep 5, Schlarman 5, Triad 5, Stewardson-Strasburg 4, Olympia 4 and Carbondale 3.

St. Anthony's Anna Sophia Keller had a first place finish. Keller won the 1600 in 4:54.88 minutes

Kristin Slaughter also took first. She claimed the pole vault with a vault of 12 feet.
