T-town Third, St. Anthony Fourth at Charleston Indoor Track Meet

CHARLESTON -- Teutopolis High School captured third place while Effingham St. Anthony finished fourrth at the Charleston Girls Indoor Track Invitational Saturday.

St. Joseph-Ogden won the team title with 77 points followed by Pleasant Plains 48, Teutopolis 38, St. Anthony 36, Champaign  St. Thomas More 31, Arthur 28, Tremont 22, Williamsville 22, Christopher 21, Argenta-Oreana 20, New Berlin 20, Danville Schlarman 18.5,  Moweaqua Central A&M 18.5, Salt Fork 18, Casey-Westfield 16, Newton 14, Paxton-Bujckley-Loda 12,  Carlinvilel 12, Spirngfield Outheran 12,  Tri-Point 12, Vandalia 12, Fisher 11, Urbana Unviersity 11, Tuscola 10, Bloomington Central LCatholic 9, Shelbyville 8, Peterson PORTA 8, Stewardson-Strasburg 5, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 5, Beecher 4, Neoga 3 and Warrensburg-Latham 2.

St. Anthony's Anna Sophia Keller captured first place in two events. The senior won the 800 with atime of 2:19.62 and took the 1600 in 5:04.83. Kristin Slaughter took first in the pole vault at 11 feet, 6 inches. Sarah Carr finished third in the 3200 in 13:19.62.

T-town's Julia Hardiek finished third in the 200 in 28.36 seconds. Claire Bushur finshed third in the shot with a throw of 36 feet, 9 inches. Sarah Grimes was fifth in the triple jump at 31-3 3/4.

T-town's 1600 relay team captured second place in 4:24.26 and toko third in the 800 relay in 1:54.59. The 3200 relay team finished fifth in 11:13.91.

Newton's 1600 relay team finished fifth in 4:30.67. Grace Hartrich took fifth in the shot with a throw of 34-11.

Stewardson-Strasburg's Whitney Smith took fourth in the triple jump at 32-4.
