EHS Girls Claim Dual Track Meet Win

Effingham High School pounced on Altamont for a 138-24 girls track victory Thursday.

The Hearts captured all four relay wins and 12 individual first place finishes.

Taylor picked up two victories, taking the long jump at 15 feet, 8 1/2 inches and the pole vault at 7 feet, 6 inches. Rivera also was a two-event winner with the 200 in 29.12 seconds and the 100 in 12.5. S. Phillips also captured two wins in the 800 in 2:34.28 and the high jump at 4-10.

Other victories were Cordes in the 3200 in 12:52.88, Heuerman in the 100 hurdles in 16.87, Pike in the triple jump at 29-0, Myers in the shot at 32-10 1/2, Fox in the 400 in 1:05.03, Kuhlman in the 300 hurdles in 50.32 and Monnet in the 1600 in 5:59.47.

The Hearts won the 400 relay in 52.69, the 800 in 2:01.3, the 1600 in 4:53.94 and the 3200 in 11:49.93.

Altamont's lone win was by Wolf in the discus with a throw of 95-10.
